Our luxury knife rolls are available in standard sizes of 5 or 8 slots. Or contact us to discuss how we can create a customised roll to suit your own knives and equipment.

Made from the same beautiful, Italian vegetable tanned leather as our Wenlock aprons.

Each Wenlock knife roll is handcrafted out of beautiful subtle toned soft black leather. The simple, modern styling will keep any of our exquisite range of knives protected, feeling professional and comfortable to carry.

Cut by hand from the hide and carefully stitched to accommodate different knife sizes, the suede lining gives the roll an extra dimension of luxury.

Made with a large side compartment for additional tools or storing recipes, it is an essential piece of kit for any novice or experienced chef. 

All metalware comes from a British foundry that holds a Royal Warrant of Appointment.

Each knife roll can be personalised with a name or initials embossed into the leather free of charge.

At Risdon & Risdon we care very much about sustainability. We have designed and made our products using high quality materials so that they will stand the test of time. However no matter how careful, daily wear takes its toll, accidents happen, moths find their way in, or the BBQ gets its revenge!

In order to increase the lifespan of your purchase and reduce the amount unnecessarily going in to landfill every year, we offer free repairs for life. We will stitch, darn, patch or in whatever way do our best to mend the problem area.

In the event that the item is beyond repair we will offer to send it to a textile recycling centre.

The most effective repairs are achieved on clean surfaces, so please wash your item before sending it.

Using the expertise and heritage of master British tanners C F Stead and J & FJ Baker we have selected the finest leathers noted for their durability and character.

The tanning processes used in the leather production for these knife wraps form a tight fibre structure, creating secure and cushioned protection for your knives. The rich waxes used give them an added waterproof barrier, with natural texture, colour and a superior feel.

The leather used for the detailing comes from Devon, from locally raised grass fed cows by-products of the Devon beef industry. English oak bark is used in the tanning process 

Each knife roll can be personalised with a name or initials embossed into the leather free of charge  - please add in Notes when ordering.

J & JF Baker & Co. Ltd., Devon - Family run since 1862, they are the only remaining oak bark tannery in Britain. Oak bark tannage is a long, gentle process that protects the natural fibres of the hide -  the hides are soaked for 12 months in Oak Bark liquor and moved constantly by a mechanism powered by water wheel.The oak bark is then composted.

Charles F Stead & Co., Leeds - Producing quality leathers since 1890, they are a leading force in the leather industry on matters of environment and sustainability. By using the very best raw materials, dye stuffs and never cutting corners throughout the production process, they are able to make the highest quality leathers used by premium brands.

The Burnt Chef Project

Risdon & Risdon are extremely proud to be supporting The Burnt Chef Project to raise awareness of mental health within the hospitality industry. In a recent survey, it found 84% of hospitality workers reported increased stress which was believed to be a direct consequence of their job.

The Burnt Chef Project is a not-for-profit social enterprise aiming to challenge mental health stigma and offer help to some of the 3.2M people who work within hospitality in the UK.

By supporting this initiative we want to help raise funds to train hospitality staff in mental health awareness, encourage the importance of starting a conversation and take away the stigma of mental health issues within hospitality.

We have produced from our Original range a custom apron and knife roll, as well as our popular Workroom Aprons - 15% of the sales going towards the campaign.
